MURRAYVILLE got on the board this season in the Mallee Football League with a win over Peake last match, but they come up against an in-form Lameroo side this week.
Will Dalwood is in good form for the Bulldogs, either in ruck or up forward, and Clayton Sporn appears to be enjoying playing further up the field than last year.
Drew Crane is a big inclusion at full forward for Murrayville and is always hard to stop.
Kevin Wyatt and Damien Fenoughty provide run through the midfield, along with Michael O’Malley.
Chris Webb showed signs of better things to come in his last match and Murrayville will be looking to him to stamp his authority on the ruck.
Lameroo overcame a scare from Pinnaroo last game to remain undefeated.
Dan Wohling is in sensational form at half forward and Chris Philbey is back kicking goals.
Brad Zerk and Rodney Maynard continue to get the job done with little fuss and Craig Wellburn is always in the game.
They have plenty of small goal kickers in Josh Ridgway, Shane Agelis, Stephen Kerley and Jarred Eckermann.
Lameroo will be too strong and complete round one undefeated.
Peake v Border Downs Tintinara
Peake have certainly improved in 2008 and would have been disappointed with their loss to Murrayville last week.
Matt Seyers is a great target up forward while Alan Retallick and James Fiegert provide alternative options.
Daniel Marrett is in good touch and played well against the Riverland last week.
Scott Crouch will improve the midfield and Brendan Pett rarely wastes a possession.
BDT have strength all over the field.
Any midfield that contains Josh and Lachlan Richardson, Luke Remfry and Ben Hooper will be hard to control.
Jack Zacker and James Simpson are small forwards who are kicking goals and Chris Gregory is a mobile, tall half forward.
Jarvis Webb works well in ruck and Matt Schilling is a quick mover at either end of the ground.
Jed Northcott is set to return this week to strengthen BDT even further.
BDT will win comfortably against Peake.
Karoonda v Pinnaroo
Karoonda need to regroup quickly after two huge losses if they want to play finals.
The return of Corey Knight, Eugene Wanganeen, Abraham Tomich, Paul Leidig and Bruce Kerr will make a big difference this week.
Brodie Chinner, Luke Hocking and Scott Huxtable have been good in the midfield, but Lucas Neumann needs to find his 2007 form in ruck as he comes up against Pinnaroo’s talented big men.
Mark Burnett ahs been in good touch and Michael Neary is a clever opportunist type player.
Pinnaroo pushed Lameroo last match and have a great ruck combination in Wade and Chad Nickolls.
Sunyl Vogt combines in brilliant fashion with Wade to be an ever present danger at stoppages.
Clint Muster is in good form, but may miss with hamstring problems.
Braden Thomas is playing well in a key defensive role and Brett Gum is finding plenty of the ball in the midfield.
Pinnaroo should be too settled and defeat an improved Karoonda side.
