RIVER Murray Footballers Ryan Morris and Luke Button are in the form of their careers after making the South Australian country football side.
The pair, who both play for Ramblers, were rewarded for stand-out performances while representing the South East zone at the South Australian Country Football Championships.
Both players made the team of the carnival, and were asked to train with the State squad, before learning they had both made the side on Sunday.
Button and Morris will now travel to Shepparton, Victoria to take part in the Landmark Australian Cou-ntry Carnival later this month.
Morris said he was looking forward to playing in the upcoming carnival.
"I'm pretty excited about it," he said.
"I'm glad to get the opportunity."
The South Australian side will also be coached by River Murray's Tony Fielke and is expected to perform well in the competition.
Button is enjoying his first season back at Ramblers after a stint playing league for Sturt last year, while Morris is coming off winning the RMFL's Mail Medal last season.
The pair share a special bond, having played together for most of their football lives, and say they know each other's games inside out.
"We have played footy together our whole lives," Morris said.
"We started playing in the under 10s for Ramblers and went down to Sturt together at the same time.”
Morris said he was enjoying playing back in the RMFL after a couple of years playing for Sturt's reserves side.
"Coming back and playing country football, it’s a lot more relaxed," he said.
"There is no pressure, you just concentrate on getting the footy.
"The enjoyment level is a lot higher."
