THE Murray Valley Standard’s River Murray Football League team of the year has been announced with 22 of this year’s most outstanding players selected.

All clubs were represented with the 2009 premiers Imperials supplying six players.

Mannum have five players represented, Mypolonga have three with two representatives from Ramblers, Meningie, Jervois and Tailem Bend.

Twelve players from the 2008 Team of the year have held their spot from last year.

The team was chosen by Imperials premiership coach Tony Fielke, Mannum coach David Dohleguy and Rambler coach Mark Dougall. Peter Dalwood collated the votes as chairman.

Umpire Tony Austin was voted umpire of the year and Imperials coach Tony Fielke was named as coach of the year.
