The Monarto Cricket Club has been awarded a two-year CommBank Cricket Club Sponsorship.

A $2000 funding boost in each year of the partnership as well as much needed cricket gear and merchandise will assist the club greatly and contribute to a much needed revamp.

Members of the club will formally establish the two-year partnership.

Commonwealth Murray Bridge Branch Manager Erin Braddy said they were delighted to provide the club with support.

“It’s great to be able to help Monarto Cricket Club because we know they do an excellent job in supporting local cricketers,” she said.

“They are clearly very worthy recipients of our sponsorship and we’re thrilled to have established a partnership with them.”

The initiative is in its third year and over the past four years, CommBank has provided almost one million dollars to cricket clubs with a focus on grassroots clubs, the women’s national team, Indigenous cricket and players with disabilities.
