A 33-year-old Murray Bridge man was arrested over the weekend after he attempted to run from police.
Around 11.30am on Saturday, February 11, police spotted a car travelling on Recreation Avenue, with occupants who did not appear to be wearing seatbelts.
Police attempted to stop the car but it took off away from the patrol.
The car travelled for a short distance before it collided with a tree and a light pole. The driver ran from the car but was quickly arrested.
He was was charged with numerous driving offences including, driving manner dangerous, driving unlicensed, unregistered and unassigned registration plates.
He will appear in court on March 21.
