I fell in love with the idea of being a journalist about two years ago when I realised how much I enjoyed writing.

I decided I wanted to do my year 10 work experience at The Murray Valley Standard so that I could truly see and understand what it would be like for me when I finish high school and university and start my career.

Although I didn’t really know what to expect coming into the week, it has been such an eye opener for me.

The experience has led me to become even more excited for my future than I was previously.

I really enjoyed my time here last week and the things I have experienced have really helped me decide that journalism is what I want to do with my career.

I am excited to go back to school with a strong mindset and a clear idea of what I have to accomplish for my future to be as successful and exciting as I am picturing it.

Thanks to everyone at The Murray Valley Standard for being so welcoming and kind.
