Younghusband call for corella cull

Younghusband is the latest Mid Murray town to called for widespread culls on little corellas in the district.

At the April meeting of Mid Murray Council, Director of Development and Environmental Services Peter Graves said residents had reported a congregation in excess of 3,000 birds who had flocked to Younghusband.

“It would cost around $4,000 to carry out the cull… the residents have said the corellas are causing damage around the area,” he said.
