On May 4, the Mid Murray Tours bus of Tony and Sonya Friebel began a five-day tour.
That morning, a shuttle bus collected passengers from Waikerie, Swan Reach, Blanchetown and surrounds, and delivered them to Nildottie to meet the coach.
It made its way to Mannum to pick up more passengers, then onto the first destination of Pinnaroo.
Lunch was over the Victorian border at Ouyen, before heading to Swan Hill and the evening stopover at Barham in New South Wales.
Friday morning the group headed to Echuca for a paddleboat ride on the PS Pevensy which was relaxing.
After the ride the group ventured into town and travelling towards the mountains.
The tour arrived in Bright and checked in for the next two nights.
On Saturday morning they went into the town for gala day festivities.
The amount of stalls, shops and entertainment spread throughout the town centre was amazing.
There were activities down every street with the centre courtyard hosting bands and live entertainment all day.
Sunday morning the group made visited Glenrowan, where they were treated to an animatronics show about Ned Kelly’s Last Stand.
The show was well done with so many unusual and interesting things to see and hear.
Lunch was had before the group headed to Bendigo for an afternoon tea break in the park.
The final night was spent in the historic town of St Arnaud.
Monday morning was a quick tour of the town before heading to Horsham for morning tea.
Next stop was the town of Kaniva for lunch while afternoon tea was supplied in the park back in South Australia, at the Coonalpyn silo art project.
