A lunchtime at Oriental Garden Chinese Restaurant is a fantastic way to expand your kids’ knowledge of food and spend time out of the house these school holidays. 

The much-loved Murray Bridge establishment has a kids menu, which is a great way to introduce them to eastern flavours. 

Fried squid and prawn fritters, both served with chips, and special fried rice, are all on the menu for just $8.90. 

Chicken nuggets and chips are also available at the same price.

A fantastic dessert range will satisfy the sweet tooth in many children, and the young at heart. 

Deep fried banana, sliced peaches  and lychee are all available with ice cream. 

A favourite is the deep fried ice cream ball, which has a beautiful crunchy coating on the outside that perfectly complements the creamy inside. 

For the adults, there is a fabulous lunch menu. 

Step in between noon and 2pm for a lunch special of just $10.90; you can dine in or take away.

There are two ranges to choose from; noodles and rice. 

Get a satisfying crunch with chicken or beef teamed with crispy noodles and vegetables. Or, you might like a slightly creamier affair with Shanghai noodles.

Keep it simple with chicken or beef and Hokkien noodles.

Fancy something a little hotter? The Pad Thai noodles have egg, bean shoots and chicken and a spicy kick.

If rice is more your taste, you can have it served steamed or fried.

Team it with honey chicken; chicken, beef or pork with sweet & sour, black bean or lemon grass & chilli sauce; or chicken, beef or port with mix vegetables. 

The lunch special is offered from Tuesday to Saturday, while a surcharge of $1 applies on Sundays.

The restaurant’s banquet menu is available to groups of two or more people for just $28 per person, or $1 more on Sundays and public holidays.

For an entree you will enjoy a fried dim sim and spring roll, then chicken and sweet corn soup.

The available main courses include sizzling garlic prawns, deep fried chicken in lemon sauce, special fried rice, sizzling steak and plum sauce and salt and pepper squid.

Lunch is available from noon to 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and dinner is from 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
