The August meeting of the Murray Bridge Senior Citizens Club was held last Wednesday when, after the usual opening, visitor Ruth Deed and new member Elizabeth Whitman were welcomed.
Greetings were handed out before the president, Doreen Borchardt, introduced John Pohl, who entertained for the afternoon with a slide show and commentary on a vacation in the Canadian Rockies and Alaska, after which the president thanked him and gave him a gift.
Information was given on the day trip to be held on Wednesday, August 30, when the club will visit the David Roche Foundation.
A $50 cost will include a tour, lunch and a coach which will leave the clubrooms at 8.30am sharp.
The October luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 4 and cost $10.
Tickets will be available at the September meeting.
The door prize was won by Avis Webb and raffles by Coral Cutting, Pauline Thiele, Sue Highett, Lorraine Rowlands and Doug Horn.
