A low visibility area on the Karoonda Highway has been identified and a development application is being prepared to hopefully fix it.
At the District Council of Karoonda East Murray’s (DCKEM) August meeting, council’s works manager Peter Davis delivered a report to present elected members, who showed full support for the plan.
This is clearly an important issue that needs to be rectified, and that’s why we need to get the development application finished and submitted.
The area, in the vicinity of the Tailem Bend junction of Kulde Road and the Karoonda Highway, was assessed by Works and Murray Bridge representatives, who agreed that highlighting six repair locations on the road as a combined submission would have greater success for funding or repairs.
“This is clearly an important issue that needs to be rectified, and that’s why we need to get the development application finished and submitted,” Mr Davis said.
The submission is being currently compiled in accordance with the Blackspot Program Guidelines, including collating all relevant crash reports and identifying exterior influencing factors including weather.
