Bartenders in the region are once again getting UGLY to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation.

Several behind-the-bar workers are putting their Understanding, Generous, Likeable, You mentality on display to do what they can to help beat blood cancer.

From car washes to quiz nights, bartenders come up with unique ways to raise funds and to have fun in their workplace.

Mannum Community Club’s Amanda Green is taking part for her second year running, but it’s her first year flying solo.

“I raised money with Sarah Maloney last year, and we had so much fun raising money for such a good cause,” Ms Green said.

“I’ve never personally experienced leukemia in my family but everybody has seen the effects of cancer, so I’m just doing what I can.”

Coonalpyn Hotel’s Justin Jones, Meningie Hotel’s Ben Reusch, Swanport Hotel’s Carmen Wise and Danielle Carr from the Murray Bridge Hotel are also participating.

Head to wwww.uglybartender.org.au to find the region’s UGLY bartenders.
