Well done to the Peake and Pinnaroo football teams for making the grand final.

Peake have senior colts, B grade and A grade in the finale, as do Pinnaroo.

Peake v Pinnaroo

Murrayville Oval

Peake will take good confidence out of their Preliminary win against BDT. They looked back to their best against BDT moving the ball quickly and taking the first option which paid off for Peake.

With Gabe Philips, Lachy Wilson all looking to feed off the agile ruckman Pat Gabb they should have the ability to get those forward 50 entries to big man Sam Braidwood and crumbing forward Wade Saunders.

If Wade positions himself front and centre of Braidwood, most times he will duke the ball or Wade can swoop, but rarely does Braidwood miss the mark. Nick Gregurke will be hoping to be back and impose an outstanding GF performance and I think he will thrive on the pressure especially having missed a few games with injury.

Matt Whitford was the general last week and I think he will give 150% this week. Bradley Kielow will want to lift this week as he is a dangerous player who can fly under the radar. Ryan Morris is dangerous and elusive, and Jamie Conlon was excellent last week.

Jake Niven and Harry DeRuiter imposed a huge amount of physical pressure last week and will be looking to do the same this week.

Tyson Jenner, Shannon Jenner and Callum Tonkin are all fast moving players who will run all day and rack up the possessions.

Nick Hyde has had another ripping season along with Alex Keogh and Ryan Nickolls will be looking to impose himself with a bag of goals.

Leith Dabinett, Rory O’Driscoll and Shilo Dabinett are all damaging if they get their hands on the ball. Jack Kenny is also a good player in some form and Chad Nickolls has a huge amount of experience to guide the young bucks.

It will be a ripping contest and grand finals are games which can bring the unexpected. The team who can get the jump early will come out on top in the end.
