River Murray junior stars shine

The River Murray Football League paid tribute to its highest performing junior players at its annual junior presentation on Monday night at the Imperial Football Club.

Blake Tabe, of Mannum, won the Connolly Medal as the under 17.5 best and fairest. Tabe was a clear winner, polling 34 votes to win ahead of Jervois pair Zane Barry, who was runner-up on 25, and Hayden Schulz, who polled 17 votes.

In the under 15 competition, Mypolonga’s Regan Gotch won the best and fairest award and claimed the Bryan Medal.

Ramblers’ Keynan Harradine was the early leader and by round 12, he led on 21 votes ahead of Imperials’ Russell Rigney on 20 and Gotch was third on 19. By round 16, Gotch was in the lead with 28 votes, ahead of Harradine on 24 votes.
