18-year-old Willyaroo woman airlifted to Flinders Medical Centre after Strathalbyn crash

STRATHALBYN – An 18-year-old was trapped in her car after it rolled just outside of Strathalbyn on Tuesday morning, September 19.

The Willyaroo woman was driving on Alexandrina Road with a 15-year-old Willyaroo boy as a passenger, when it rolled near Allandale Road just before 8.15am.

The boy was able to free himself from the wreckage, but the woman was trapped until emergency services arrived.

Medstar airlifted the woman to Flinders Medical Centre with non-life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital in a stable condition.

The boy was taken to the local hospital to be checked.

Police are still investigating the cause and circumstances of the crash.
