Heavy rain and strong winds will continue to impact the Murraylands this afternoon as a rain band with embedded thunderstorms moves east across the state.
North to northwesterly winds will increase ahead of the cold front today.
Damaging winds with gusts of 90 to 120 kilometres per hour are possible, mostly associated with showers and thunderstorms and over elevated ground, ahead of and with the front.
The State Emergency Service (SES) advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
- Secure or put away loose items around your property.
- Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
