Murray Bridge Swimming Centre 'supa slide', water playground will open this Saturday, November 4: PHOTOS, VIDEO

Children and parents rejoice: the swimming season is finally here.

Murray Bridge Swimming Centre's door will roll up at 9am, but the "golden ticket" for the first ride on the 50-metre "supa slide" will go to the winner of a raffle to be drawn as part of an opening ceremony at 12.30.

A sausage sizzle and face painting will be on offer, and Power FM will broadcast live from the party.

Use of the supa slide will be free after a plan to charge $1 per ride, revealed by The Standard, proved unpopular with the public.

Pool entry will cost $6 for adults and $4 for children aged three to 12 this summer.
