Crash at Meningie leads to court date

A 50-year-old Narrung man will face court after a car crash at Meningie on Saturday night.

Police were called to Narrung Road around 10pm after a car crashed into a stobie pole.

They reported the driver had left the scene of the collision but was found nearby a short time later.

Police claim he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.032 and that a small amount of cannabis was discovered in his car.

He was fined for the cannabis possession and reported for drink driving and driving while disqualified.

He will face the charges at the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court.
