Hit and run leaves Murray Bridge woman struggling

A hit and run accident has left a Murray Bridge woman without a car and struggling to care for her sister.

A passing motorist hit Lois Weber's Ford Laser on Gail Crescent on the morning of Thursday, November 2, writing it off, but did not stop.

"We heard an almighty bang," she said.

"My sister got out there ... she didn't know how to tell me when she came back in."

She was insured, but worried she would still be unable to buy a replacement on a pension, and said she was finding it difficult to get her sister, who was recovering from a stroke, to appointments.

A witness described the offending vehicle as a dark green Commodore, but did not catch its numberplate.
