Anyone who lives on the land will benefit from a half-day workshop at Murray Bridge Community Centre on Wednesday.
Rural Minds is about mental health and wellbeing and the ways they affect agricultural communities.
It is delivered, organisers say, by people who know what it is like out here and offers “good, solid information without the bulldust”.
The workshop will improve attendees’ understanding of mental health issues, link mental health and personal safety, and offer strategies and confidence to help preserve the mental health of attendees, their friends and family members.
Topics covered will include stigma, risks, anxiety and depression, destructive thinking, stress and PTSD, dementia, suicide, drugs and alcohol, relationships, financial stress and succession.
