But for some families, there is the a yearly battle over whether they will be able to celebrate Christmas with their family at all.

For these struggling families, Murray Bridge Marketplace, The Salvation Army, St Vincent De Paul and AC Care have joined together to lend a hand.

Their aim this year is to reach more families in need in the Murraylands area than ever before with their drive for Christmas donations.

The shopping centre is helping collect goods into the Santa‚Äôs Sleigh located outside Big W.

This year donated toys will go to more than 300 children and 150 packs of food to families who are struggling this holiday season.
