On Saturday 20th January, the Scout Gliding Club sent a delegation to Pallamana to work through with the Murray Bridge Gliding Club arrangements for the Scout Jamboree which is being prepared for January 2019 and will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park.

The number of scouts expected to undertake air activities will be catered for with 10 motor gliders to operate for nine days from the airfield at The Bend.

Murray Bridge Gliding Club is working toward contributing three motor gliders with flight instructors and support crews to that event.

Club President Rob Wintulich said they strongly support the initiative for up to 1000 scouts to get easy access to this air activity at the Jamboree.

The Murray Bridge Gliding Club based at Pallamana airfield began 2018 with a series of excursion flights to Bordertown and return.

The destination was the airfield there, where the National Vintage Glider meet was held for a week.
