The Cambrai Community Nursery, through Mid Murray Landcare SA,  has released its program for 2018, with a range of events from responsible pet management to the needs and habitat of the western pygmy possum.

The events are as follow:

February 20 – Western Pygmy Possums, distribution, threats, needs and habitat;

March 20 – Bird baths and ponds, creating one in your backyard;

May 1 – Refuge for reptiles and amphibians, simple ways to provide habitat;

May 29 – Responsible pet management to protect our wildlife;

June 19 – Winter species propagation of native pine and Christmas bush.

The first workshop will start at 9.30am to 11.30am at the Melanda, 106 Bundilla Road, Cambrai.

Subjects include distribution in the Mid Murray region, habitat needs and how to make a habitat box.
