Sectional Round Robin play started last week in warm conditions for the start before changing to pleasant playing conditions during the night.

Teams have been divided into two sections of eight teams.

In the next seven weeks the teams in the section will play each other for the glory of being sectional winners with section one winner winning the shield as champions for 2017/18 season.

Wednesday night play continued in the original draw format, as these teams will play through, meeting each other over 14 weeks, then will continue with a half draw.

Last week the closest game saw Dad’s Army defeat Hill Street Hoods by two shots with Bluds getting in over Rough Reds by four shots.

Bluds and Mypo have levelled out at eight wins a piece to head the premiership table and are now one win ahead of Hell Raisers and Punch Lines who both lost last week. Rough Reds are a further point behind.

It was the Bluds team winning the money with Punch Lines collecting the consolation prize.

Position winners were:

  • Leader - Mark Napier (Hill Street Hoods),
  • Second - Deanna Harden (Jatz Krackers),
  • Third - Jayne Grande (Zoobies)
  • Skipper- Ian Heitmann (Humpy Doo).

On Thursday the section one games were wider apart than expected, but section two brought results more to expectation with results being much closer with a draw between E-Bowli and Pug Wash (on the last end) with the other games being only two, three and four shots different.

The Swanport Rollers team of Malc Carter, Vicki Marshall, Judy Zadow, and Ian Fulwood collected the loot while the E-Bowli team of Curtis Brown, Lewis Burns, Brett Edson and Matt Lindner walked off with the consolation prize.

The lucky position winners were:

  • Leader- Marie Flavel (Positive Minds),
  • Second- Pam Jennings (Home Detention),
  • Third- Roger Bates (Old Tigers)
  • Skipper-Ben Bowman (Green Masters)

The rinks have been filled for interclub game against Lobethal on February 23.
