The body of a man lay undiscovered for days in his Gold Coast unit after he was murdered, police say.
The body of Edward James Lockyer, 40, was located at his Coolangatta home last Thursday after an associate raised concerns to police.
On Thursday Darren Kenneth Mitchell, 45, was charged with one count of murder.
Mitchell did not appear at Southport Magistrates Court on Friday and his case has been adjourned until March 29.
Police believe Mr Lockyer was murdered on Monday, January 29 and are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage from the vicinity of Dixon Street, Coolangatta between 6.30pm and 8.30pm that night to contact them.
Specifically, police are seeking sightings of Mitchell's gold Mitsubishi Magna with licence plate number 973XPZ at or near Mr Lockyer's home.
"We're interested to speak to anyone who may have seen that vehicle or who may dashcam footage of the vehicle," Detective Inspector Marc Hogan said.
"It would take people to go back and have a look and I know that's a bit of trouble for some people or it might take a bit of time. But we would really appreciate the effort in terms of identifying that vehicle."
