Community sports coach training on offer

THE Active After-school Communities (AASC) program will hold a free Community Coach Training Program (CCTP) for aspiring coaches in the Murraylands region.

The CCTP course is available for both beginner and established coaches who hope to improve their junior sports coaching skills and gain a formal qualification while doing so.

The program is looking for people who have a love for sport as well as a desire to inspire young children to get active and involved in local sporting communities.

The course will be held at the Tailem Bend Primary School, Murray Street, Tailem Bend, on Thursday, December 6 and will run from 1pm until 5pm.

The AASC program is a Federal Government initiative delivered by the Australian Sports Commission in up to 3270 schools and outside school hours care services across Australia.

Each term, up to 190,000 children participate in up to 70 different sports and 20 structured physical activities after school.
