The power of Tintinara Community Men's Shed members continues to grow after they received a $5000 grant for electrical work.
The Federal Government money will go towards cabling, a switchboard, power points and lighting in the former railway shed that has been redeveloped for community use.
Member for Barker Tony Pasin said sheds like the one at Tintinara offered social, emotional and other benefits to their members - frequently retired men.
"I've seen first-hand the benefits that men's sheds have in local communities across Barker and I commend funding such as this latest round because it makes a positive difference in regional towns," he said.
The men's shed had already received tens of thousands of dollars worth of funding from the likes of Community Benefit SA and the Coorong council.
More than 40 members have recently been lining the shed from floor to ceiling.
The Tintinara Community Men's Shed is open between 8.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
