From the old Rockleigh School house, across the Victorian border and back again, Harry Vidal’s latest fundraising journey is nearing it’s end.
Over the course of his trek, Mr Vidal has raised over $14,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Rockleigh CFS Support Group.
Mr Vidal left on July 2, and August 17 marks a month-and-a-half on the road for Mr Vidal, his faithful canine Akeesha and horses George and Henry.
Good friend and Rockleigh resident Penny Heighes said Mr Vidal’s journey has been inspiring.
“He did a trip to Lightning Ridge last year, and once again he’s done something tremendous for other people,” she said.
“Harry is just an extraordinary man.”
