The Anglican cathedral on Mannum Road in Murray Bridge has been bathed with blue light this week in recognition of Blue Knot Day on Monday, October 16.
The day is intended to raise awareness of the Blue Knot Foundation, the leading national organisation working to improve the lives of the estimated five million Australian adults who experienced trauma and abuse in childhood.
From 10am this Sunday, October 22, a special service will be held at the cathedral to unite the community and acknowledge survivors’ strengths and challenges while spreading messages of hope and optimism.
The church said people could not heal in isolation, and that coming together in community, spreading positive messages and raising awareness could help facilitate their recovery.
