The Adelaide Strikers BBL squad took on a team of SA’s West End Redbacks in an internal trial match played at Strathalbyn Oval.
The 20-over match at 2pm on Friday, December 15, featured some of the biggest names in South Australian cricket.
Travis Head made the highest run score for the Strikers with 41, while the Redbacks’ captain Kelvin Smith scored 22.
Local Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association umpire Brian Humble officiated the match with one of SACA’s umpires.
Once the game was complete, players signed autographs and took photos with fans.
Following the match, a T20 Blast clinic was run by the Strikers for kids from around the district.
Cricket clubs from around the Hills took part in skills-based activities in the clinic.
