Isolation and depression are a dangerous combination.
Ensuring they never get a chance to join forces is the goal of suicide prevention networks in operation around South Australia, and another which will soon be founded in the Karoonda East Murray district.
A public meeting will be held at the Karoonda council chambers at 6.30pm on Wednesday.
Networks aim to reduce the stigma around suicide, encourage a sense of community connectedness, and provide information to people struggling with depression or those who want to help them.
