Mannum Hot Rod Show 2018 | PHOTOS

Every March long weekend, Mannum’s riverbank comes alive with hot rods and rock’n’roll.

The town has been attracting hot rods, custom and classic vehicles from across Australia for 19 years now.

This year, once again, about 200 entries came from as far away as Victoria: from vintage vehicles in pristine condition to a handful of rough-and-ready rat rods.

Visitors danced the day away on an undercover dance floor to the sound of the Rhythm Cats, who brought back hits from the 1950s and 60s, and a DJ.

Cruses were also available on the PS Marion.

More than 7000 people usually attend the event for a gold coin donation each year, with funds raised going to the Mannum Hospital auxiliary.

The Standard’s Peri Strathearn was lucky enough to be rostered on and headed along to take a few photos.
