In the last decade Headspace has been operating in Murray Bridge over 4200 young people have been welcomed through its doors at Railway Terrace and to celebrate; a 10th birthday event will be held.
One of the Headspace Murray Bridge youth reference group members said the centre has amazing staff who provide a lot of opportunity for everyone there for self-growth, socialisation, for learning about self and others.
“Young people are able to build confidence, achieve a bit of self-discipline and a lot of self love,” they said.
Headspace chief executive officer Jason Trethowan said Headspace Murray Bridge has established itself into the local community of the past decade, further cementing its ongoing presence.
“Headspace Murray Bridge has collaborated with over 20 youth related services in the local community to improve mental health and wellbeing for young people and their families,” he said.
“We are proud of the work the centre has carried out over the last 10 years, including partnering with local schools, providing outreach services, hosting community engagement events and facilitating numerous youth-friendly activities for young people.”
Operations manager Frauke Hobbs said staff and supporters are proud to celebrate this significant achievement and keen to share this special day with the local community.
The event will be followed by a youth forum on how to make the Murraylands a great place to live for young people to live.
