From the Ground up: Benefitting Rural Cancer sufferers

On a dreary Autumn day, a visit to the beautiful home and colourful gardens of ‘Sghorra Breac’ at Strathalbyn, the home of Dr Graeme and Cynthia Nicholls, kept the Members of the Mobilong Inner Wheel Club entertained from the design to the planting and formation of the garden and home.

Raising funds

Cynthia and Graeme frequently conduct tours of their garden and home for the benefit of raising funds which go towards updating Greenhill Lodge accommodation and garden.

Regional South Australian cancer sufferers benefit while receiving treatment and support in Adelaide in not having to travel large distances which can become very costly.

Lovely lunch

Women who have been affected by cancer provided a lovely lunch for IW Members after which Cynthia explained how and why the garden took on the form it has with many garden rooms.

It is easy to see Cynthia is very passionate about gardening with redesigning Greenhill Lodge garden and volunteering her time.

Sometimes being joined by cancer sufferers or their families.

Inner Wheel President Joyce Medlow presented a cheque to Cynthia for Greenhill Lodge to help improve conditions for cancer sufferers.
