2018 SA ski racing championships bring large crowd to Murray Bridge

Excellent weather conditions for June attracted large numbers of spectators to Sturt Reserve to watch South Australia's ski racing titles over the long weekend.

The calm conditions provided a spectacle which had the thrills but not the spills.

Although entries were slightly down, all classes were hotly contested and the unlimited outboard and unlimited inboard races gave spectators a reason to watch more ski racing events.

Taj Garrett from Murray Bridge achieved a second place in the under 10 boys in his first race.

Clark Stegmeyer finished the weekend with three second placings in the events he participated in and will keep chasing his first state title.

The Rod Sheehan Memorial Trophy, presented to the most successful observer for the weekend, was won by Mildura's Craig Harper.
