Smoke is likely to be visible south of Langhorne Creek tomorrow as the Department for Environment and Water conducts a prescribed burn at Tolderol Game Reserve.

The burn of about 18 hectares near Dog Lake Road is scheduled to start at 1pm, weather permissing, and be complete by 5pm on Friday.

The burn-off is intended to clear foliage from levee banks and infrastructure for water management, and to provide habitat for the migratory wading birds who will begin breeding there next month.
