Two blackspot locations, within the Hammond electorate, will be among the two dozen South Australian road blackspots addressed, following the Federal Government’s announcement of a $5.5 million funding package.

Member for Hammond Adrian Pederick said he was pleased with the announcement and looked forward to works commencing on the allocated areas, which include the Karoonda Highway and Ridley Road at Mannum.

“Karoonda Highway...approximately three kilometres west of Karoonda Highway and Kulde Road intersection will have a W-Beam installed and a section of wide shoulder sealing,” Mr Pederick said.

“Additionally, Ridley Road will also receive a W-Beam and wide sealed shoulder on curves.

“The $5.5 million road blackspot program will further increase the safety of roads in South Australia and I am appreciative of the Federal Government’s commitment in that regard.”
