Mobilong Rotary has just celebrated a big step forward in its capacity to fundraise and help the community.

A locally designed and built trailer for community barbecue provision was recently unveiled by Member for Barker Tony Pasin.

A Community Improvement Grant from the Federal Government supplemented funds provided by Friends of Rotary members for the initiative.

Mobilong President Adrian Pergallini the new facility would mean improved efficiency and effectiveness in the club’s service to the community.

Two barbecue plates are on wings opening from the trailer while two further wings include a hand washing facility and storage.

The trailer has barbecue plates on the wings opening from the trailer, has hand-washing and storage facilities, carries its own water supply and even has a solar lighting system.

A number of folding tables are on board together with a sling suspension which carries a gazebo for extra shelter.

Food management is a priority so it includes icebox provisions and an on-trailer bain-marie system.

Rotarians have readily endorsed the new convenience and efficiency particularly in preparing and packing up.

The trailer system will enable the necessary high standards required in food management.
