Murray Bridge’s Freemasons constituted a new United Lodge 44 under Worshipful Master Russell Mallyon on August 18, to succeed the old Murray Bridge Lodge and Lodge of Sincerity. Secretary Tom Haig said the future of Freemasonry was bright in South Australia. “These days, when most Freemasons lodges are actually closing, it’s good we’ve got one that has actually opened,” he said. “We’ve got lots of local young members, especially young Filipino Australians who have joined.”
