Forty stalls and speakers including Neil Kerley, Sophie Thomson and Michael Keelan, couples with some brilliant sunshine, drew a crowd to Tailem Bend's Willow Street precinct on Friday for the Engaging in Ageing Expo.
Dozens of service providers offered information about the ways in which they could help older people, while Coorong mullet sizzled on the barbecue and band Highway 55 provided live music.
Tailem Bend Community Centre coordinator Tammy Shepherd said the event was about exposing people to services that were not always available in the Murraylands.
Instead of making people travel to Adelaide to find out more, the expo brought the services to them.
"It's about celebrating people and encouraging them to live their life, and enjoy life, in the Murraylands," she said.
The event was organised by the Riverland Mallee Coorong Taskforce.
