Two Murray Bridge clubs were recognised for excellence in their respective fields at the Clubs SA 2018 Awards for Excellence, hosted at the Adelaide Convention Centre last Saturday night.

We are proud of this club and we want the community to know we are here for them.

The Murray Bridge claimed their third title as best RSL in SA – the club secured the award in 2015 and 2016 – which president David Laing said was a great achievement for the club and the community it serves.

“We are proud of this club and we want the community to know we are here for them, whether it’s a meal, a chat or a drink at the bar,” Mr Liang said.

Mr Laing commended Matthew Kidziak, from the Murray Bridge Community Club, who claimed the inaugural ‘Cook of the Year’ award.

“He’s a great cook and the community club is lucky to have Matthew,” he said.

Mr Kidziak said it was incredible to be given the award and that it was a wonderful opportunity for the Community Club to be recognised on a state level.

“It’s a great source of pride to have been given this award,” Mr Kidziak said. “And it’s great to be part of a club who is there to serve the community and work along side the RSL who are also here for our community.”
