Four tourism businesses will represent the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong region at the upcoming 2018 South Australian Tourism Awards.

Sounds by the River and Proud Mary were named as the best in their respective categories last year, with the latter returning alongside Monarto Zoo, River Shack Rentals and the Masters Games as nominees for this year’s awards.

Sounds by the River was also inducted into the South Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame after the festival won best in the Festivals and Events category for three consecutive years.

South Australian Tourism Industry Council (SATIC) chief executive officer, Shaun de Bruyn said the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong was home to some of South Australia’s best tourism experiences.

“The Murray River, Lakes and Coorong is one of magnificent tourism regions we have on offer in South Australia and we are extremely excited to see some of their outstanding tourism products be showcased at tourism’s night of nights,” Mr De Bruyn said.

The awards will take place on Friday November 9 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
