Four people nabbed in Murraylands drug raid

Police conducted raids on four properties in the Murraylands on Thursday, October 18, and as a result four people have been reported for drug-related offences.

Patrols from Mannum, Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge and a police dog patrol, conducted searches on four properties between 10.30am and 4pm, locating drugs and firearms.

A 27-year-old Mannum man was reported for allegedly trafficking a controlled drug, after a small amount of amphetamine was located.  He was also issued expiation notice for possession of cannabis and equipment.

A Mannum man, aged 33, was reported for possession of a prescribed firearm after a home-made firearm was found at one of the premises. He was also issued an expiation for possession of cannabis and equipment.

A 36-year-old man from Murray Bridge was issued with a drug diversion for possession of drug equipment, which was allegedly four ice pipes. 

.A 61-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, of Sedan, were both reported for allegedly trafficking cannabis and producing a commercial quantity of cannabis after 65 seedlings were located at rear of house.  

The woman was further issued a drug diversion for possession for amphetamine and an expiation notice for possession of ammunition.

All reported persons will be summonsed to appeared in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at later date.

The raids were a direct result of valuable information passed on by local members of the community.
