Life Through the Lens: How to keep your wheels in line

Ever marvelled at a shopping trolley musterer and their control of those often-cantankerous machines?

They handle them so competently.

They’re all lined up across the car park, around the corner, through the doors, up the travelator, through people to exactly where they belong.

How?

Could it be the rope holding all those individual trolleys together, plus practice, experience?

How often have you thought your life was all lined up: work, kids, partner, friends, ambitions, finances, leisure, sport, et cetera, et cetera?

Then it’s as if a wheel has come off and things start going in all directions.

Maybe you need one of those ropes and someone with experience.

Well, guess what?

There is one right next to you.

You can’t see him, but he had a life where the wheels came off.

His friends left him and mobs were out to get him.

He was expected to do what everyone wanted and finally the government nailed him up on a cross.

Now he stands alongside and offers to help you pull things back together.

Jesus, who experienced all the troubles of the world, is offering you, for free, all the help you need – not necessarily what you want, but what you need.

His love and power are the rope that can pull things into line and hold them together.

Some situations may appear so far out of control that no-one can rope them in.

He can!

By his coming alive again, he showed the power he has.

Trust him, talk to him.

Have a great week.
