River advocates Major "Moogy" Sumner and Rosa Hillam have been announced as Greens candidates for the upcoming federal election.
Ms Hillam, an artist based at Meningie, will run in Barker against Liberal MP Tony Pasin.
Mr Sumner, a Ngarrindjeri elder and leader of the Tal-Kin-Jeri dance group, will run for the Senate in the second spot on the party's voting ticket, behind current Senator Sarah Hanson-Young.
The pair will launch their election campaign this Saturday night at Murray Bridge Community Club with a screening of two short documentary films.
River Kids is about the children who live along the River Murray, produced by the ABC's Behind the News team and narrated by a Ngarrindjeri boy named Tyrone.
Carbon for Water focuses on the importance of clean drinking water to the people of western Kenya.
A light supper, tea and coffee will be provided.
Attendees should arrive at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
The election is expected to fall on May 11 or 18.
