Healthy living – a new year, a new you

It is the new year and the perfect time to think about your overall health and fitness and put some plans into place.

What goals can you set for 2019?

Are you the type of person to make a resolution or would you prefer to ‘go with the flow’ and see where to new year takes you?

Either way the New Year is a great time to try new things.

Why not see what new classes your local gym has on offer. Over the Christmas period, the Mannum Leisure Centre received a new roof and with its new look is set to provide opportunities to help you achieve your goals in 2019.

Aussie summers are the best time to be outside spending quality time with the kids.

This usually includes plenty of barbecues with friends and rellies often resulting in over-eating and over-indulging.

Be inspired by this glorious sunny weather and motivate the family to go for an evening stroll after dinner or a morning run, watching the sun come up is a great heart starter.

Why not take a dip in one of the local pools.

Mannum and Cambrai are open to the public seven days a week, from 3.30pm to 7.30pm when 25 degrees and above.

Cambrai is the perfect location on a Friday evening, with community members stoking up a mean barbecue, so grab the family and go down for a fun evening.

Use the New Year as inspiration to look after yourself and your health, make your goals achievable and focus on lifestyle changes rather than a resolution you may not stick to.
