Palmer resident Deanna Lush, managing director of communication, marketing and events business Ag Communicators, has been named one of four finalists for an SA Rural Women's Award.
The winner will receive $10,000 towards a project that would benefit rural or regional South Australia.
Ms Lush said she would use the money to help producers build people's trust in agriculture by giving them training and mentoring in communicating with the general public.
The other finalists are Pinnaroo nurse practitioner Di Thornton, Clare civil engineer Michelle Verco and Mid North farmer Natalie Sommerville.
Primary Industries and Regional Development Minister Tim Whetstone congratulated all four, who he said had each contributed significantly to regional SA.
"I urge them to continue being role models and helping to make a difference in their industries," he said.
A winner will be presented on March 28.
