The public supports the idea of turning Lohmann Street, Murray Bridge into a one-way throughfare, a poll has suggested.

The city's council presented three possible solutions to traffic and parking problems around Murray Bridge High School at a meeting last week.

Of the 63 people who voted in The Standard's online poll, two thirds were in favour of the second option: removing parking restrictions around the school and making Lohmann Street one-way, away from Long Island Road.

The council is currently consulting nearby residents.
