The Trevor Wynne Memorial Trivia Night, to raise money for the Murray Bridge Dialysis and Renal Support Group, was held at the Murray Bridge Bowling Club on Saturday, March 30.
Mr Wynne, one of the founding members of the support group, was arranging the trivia night when he died suddenly in November.
His death left a big hole in the Murray Bridge community and he is still sadly missed.
The support group was approached by a group of Mr Wynne's friends, "Trev's tribe": Annette, Kev, Albert, Des and friends who did trivia nights and bingo together.
The group offered to take on the trivia night, run it in Mr Wynne's name and donate the takings to the support group.
The night was a great success and enjoyed by all of the 130 people who attended, including a table of Mr Wynne's family members and a table of nursing staff from the Murray Bridge hospital's dialysis unit.
More than 130 prizes were given out over the night, and a giant doughnut was auctioned for $36.
The first prize, containing 10 bottles of wine and 10 boxes of chocolates, was won by the team Chairman's 11.
The organisers thanked the generous local businesses who sponsored the night, the bowling club's members and bar staff.
At the end of the night, after working so hard to make it special, the crowd was asked whether the trivia night should be held on a annual basis.
The proposal was warmly accepted by all.
