There will be a host of South Australian authors visiting the Murray Bridge Library over the next few weeks and you have the chance to meet them and hear them speak about their latest offerings.

This Sunday, June 16, Wendy Altschwager will visit the library from 2pm to 3pm to hold a book signing and speak about her new novel 'Behind the Door'.

Two authors, Meredith Appleyard and Tricia Stringer, will talk about their latest novels during afternoon tea on June 30 from 2pm to 3pm at the library.

The pair feature South Australia as a backdrop to a lot of their fictional writing, with their books selling well.

On July 4, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm Queensland author Scott Whitaker will speak about his book, Railway Hotels of Australia, which lists stories about the hotels and how they have shaped society over the past 170 years.

A session with ABC Gardening Australia's Sophie Thomson at the end of June has already been booked out.

- Details: There are limited seats available - bookings can be made until the day prior by calling the library on 8539 1175.
